Dec 2nd
Our Last Function of the year was a meal at Pike Fold which followed our December meeting.
The usual bottle draw was changed this year to a meal and a select raffle of 15 or so prizes, drawn following the meal.

Jan 17th 2015 Vocations Mass
Our thanks go to Mgr Allen for celebrating our Circle's Mass for Vocations at Our Lady of Grace, Prestwich. A good number of Brothers and family joined Mgr Allen afterwards in the Presbytery where true hospitality was appreciated by all.

We were delighted to celebrate Paul & Lesley's 40th Wedding Anniversary at our March meeting. Our very best wishes from all at 168. They kindly supplied the buffet and Stephen gave flowers and wine to the happy couple.

Helping Others President Stephen Bentley presented Miss Honor Miller a Bursuary Award for her pending visit to India. The presentation took place at St Peter's Church, Middleton. Honor is a student at Loreto Grammar School.

Fred Slater was thanked by Province 1 golf for his many years service. He was presented with a painting, meal and theatre tickets for him and his wife, as a thank you for his many years service.

An enjoyable meal was had by all to mark the end of Steve's year in office. Thank you from all Brothers and wives who attended.

Our meeting was followed by Indoor Putting, the prize being the Presidents Pint !
The actual winner was John Welsh from Rochdale circle, however he had to leave early. Cathal then won the prize, but as he is not drinking at the moment he awarded it to his original sponsor of the Catenians Gerry O'Rourke, please click on the left to see the winner and cup

Our July meeting was followed by the Fred Slater Golf Quiz
Over 35 brothers attended the meeting then time for the " Old Grey Matter " to kick in as the Quiz started. Please click on the left for more pictures. A relaxed hot summer evening was had by all.

Aug 5th 2015
Our Aug meeting was followed by Boules at 168. The Brothers of Province One gathered at Pike Fold Golf Club, to take part in the second Boules competition ever to be staged in the Province. Click on the left for more pictures.

Helping Others
Mike Farragher and Ged Collins played at the "Fleadh Cheoil in Sligo The most prestigious event in the Traditional Irish Music Calender. There were over 400,000 at the weeklong festival, They also busked every day they could. Mike and Ged collected money for their charities. Click on the Left for more pictures.

Our Provincial Mass was held at Salford Cathedral, followed by a meal at Croma in Prestwich
We remember at Mass all those Brother's and Wife's who had passed during the last 12 months

The Sports Quiz took place after our October meeting. Teams of 4 got together ( the winning team was a team of 7 ) draw your own conclusions.
